University College Cork

UCC is a progressive, dynamic university of over 17,000 students. The University has a current enrolment of over 13,000 undergraduate students. In addition, close to 3,500 students are enrolled in one or more of the University's postgraduate programmes.

Founded in 1845, University College Cork is one of Ireland's oldest institutes of higher learning and was originally established as Queen's College.

 

With over 2,000 international students representing over 90 countries worldwide currently studying at UCC, the University has a very rich and multicultural environment. UCC has been named "Irish University of the Year" on two occasions.

The University has an outstanding international reputation in research across all faculties and a long tradition and expertise in Technology Transfer, Intellectual Property, Innovation and working with industry.

All programmes are delivered through the following Colleges:

  • College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences
  • College of Business and Law
  • College of Medicine and Health
  • College of Science, Engineering and Food Science
