General Admission Requirements
GCE A – LEVELS
(A) For those present THREE A LEVEL subjects / Non-EU students
AAB and A*A*A or higher at the same sitting with an A or A* in Chemistry and two of the following three subjects – Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
(B) For those presenting FOUR A LEVEL subjects / non-EU students
At least Grades of AABB or higher at the SAME sitting in the following subjects – Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics with a minimum grade B in Chemistry (A for Trinity College Dublin)
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE
Minimum of 37 points, excluding Bonus Points, and not less than 6 points in the following:
- Higher Level Chemistry – a minimum of 7 points for Trinity College Dublin
- One of Physics or Biology in Higher Level
- One of Physics, Mathematics or Biology in either Higher Level or Standard Level
Graduate Entry
4- year programme
Honours primary degree – upper 2nd class Honours (2:1)

Interview
Students must also pass an admissions interview to be considered for a place on the programme.
The requirements specified represent the minimum necessary to be eligible, successful applicants normally exceed these. Places are limited, attainment of the minimum academic grades does not guarantee a place unless the respective University makes an offer.
