Do I need to sit the HPAT exam?

Undergraduate students applying for non-EU Medicne places do not need to sit the HPAT exam.

Students who apply for 4 year Graduate Entry Medicine need to sit the GAMSAT or MCAT.

When are the interviews?

In person interviews are held from February to May every year.

When is the deadline to apply?

There is no application deadline. Students should apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Is there a discount through the IUMC system?

Yes, the IUMC offers a discount between EUR 3,500 – 8,000 per year to our students. UCD is the only university who do not have a discount in place.

Is student accomodation available?

Yes, the universities will assist our students with securing suitable accommodation.

Do I have to be a citizen of a specific country to apply?

We welcome all Singaporean students.  We also welcome all international students who studied in Singapore to apply.

What degrees are awarded by Irish medical schools?

Medicine: M.B. B.Ch. B.A.O Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor in the Art of Obstetrics
Dentistry: BDS (University College Cork) and B. DENT. SC (Trinity College Dublin)

Is the degree recognised internationally?

Irish Degrees are held in high regard internationally and IUMC students have gone on to become leaders in Medicine and Dentistry worldwide.

What are the tuition fees per annum?

Trinity College Dublin Medicine: 48,090 EUR
National University of Ireland, Galway, Medicine: 48,000 EUR
University College Cork Medicine: 47,000 EUR
University College Dublin Medicine: 59,070 EUR
Trinity College Dublin Dentistry: 48,090 EUR
University College Cork Dentistry: 47,000 EUR

What are the living costs in Ireland?

Living costs depend on where you are studying in Ireland, the type of accommodation you book, and the student’s personal lifestyle. On average, we estimate that a student will spend between €13,000 and €15,000 per academic year.

How long are the medical programs in Ireland?

There are 4, 5 and 6 year programmes available at IUMC Medical schools.
5 Year – University College Cork, University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, National University of Ireland, Galway
6 Year – University College Dublin and National University of Ireland, Galway
4 Year – University College Cork and University College Dublin

How much is the application fee?

There is no application fee payable. Successful students may be required to pay the courier fee to send their acceptance documents to their respective universities.

How to apply?

You can click ENQUIRY on the IUMC website. Complete all the information and our team will get in touch with an application form and other important information. Candidates can then complete the application form and submit documents to our IUMC office.

Can I apply to more than one university?

Yes, you can apply to all 4 universities with the IUMC. However, please be informed that Trinity College Dublin is the only university that is registrable in Singapore at present.
